On Wednesday, October 29, United States President Donald Trump has settled questions for a possible 2028 presidential run, which would have been his third term: "I guess I'm not allowed to run."

By the US Constitution, no person shall be elected to the office of the President more than twice, and no person who has held the office of President, or acted as President, for more than two years of a term.

Even though Trump has repeatedly been barred by the law, he continues to show interest in serving the United States.

“I have my highest poll numbers that I've ever had, and, you know, based on what I read, I guess I'm not allowed to run. So, we'll see what happens,” Trump said aboard Air Force One.

“I don't want to even talk about that because, you know, the sad thing is, I have my highest numbers that I've ever had,” he added.

On the other hand, many of Trump’s supporters believe that Vice President JD Vance could run on the 2028 Republican ticket.

However, Vance mentioned on a podcast last Wednesday that Trump had floated the idea of him and Secretary of State Marco Rubio as a ticket in 2028 six months ago during a private lunch in White House.

He mentioned it probably six months or so ago, and I mentioned it to the secretary in jest, but it feels so premature, because we're still so early. And what I always say to people is, if we take care of business, politics will take care of itself," Vance said.

The 79-year-old Trump is the 45th and 47th President of the United States of America following his inauguration on January 20, becoming the only second president to serve two nonconsecutive terms.
