The Philippine National Police (PNP) can now respond to emergencies and crimes within three minutes nationwide, announced on Tuesday, October 28.
PNP spokesman Brig. Gen. Randulf Tuano said police officers are now beating the five-minute response rule, responding to emergency situations in about three minutes.
“From four minutes and 62 seconds response time, it was shortened to two minutes and 79 seconds,” Tuano said, highlighting the agency’s improved efficiency and coordination.
The agency said that the faster response time reflects its goal of enhancing public safety and modernizing police operations.
Officials credited the achievement to stronger coordination, upgraded communication systems, and increased police visibility in communities.
The PNP made the announcement as it goes on heightened alert for Undas 2025, deploying more personnel across the country to ensure peace and order during the holiday period.
