MTRCB calling for Viva over their content creator's remarks.

The Movie and Television Review and Classification Board (MTRCB) called out Viva Communication Inc., as one of their content creators uttered 'profane remarks' directed at the agency during the premiere of "Dreamboi," an official entry to the CineSilip Film Festival 2025.

On a viral video showing that the creator was bluntly cursing the said entry, MTRCB said that their remarks are a whole disrespect for the people behind the work.

In a letter dated October 23 addressed to the Viva President Vincent G. Del Rosario, the meeting seeks to promote mutual understanding and responsible conduct in public events.

“In line with our Responsableng Panonood campaign and our vision for healthy collaborative practices with our stakeholders, we would like to invite you for a dialogue on the said report,” the letter said.

The said content creator is unnamed.

“While we respect freedom of expression, the Agency views with serious concern the use of language that undermines respect for public institutions and the standards governing film classification,” the MTRCB said.

Recently, Dreamboi have bagged several awards such as Best Film, technical and major award including Sound, Musical Score, Editing, and Cinematography.
